Greg’s Monsters

October is here; it is time to find some spooky books to get you in the Halloween spirit. There is nothing that screams out Halloween like monsters. Hollywood has ingrained in our minds the standard: Lon Chaney, Boris Karloff, Max Schreck and Bela Lugosi – these are who we picture when we talk about monsters. But there are many more monsters. There are some fantastic authors who have brought us new takes on the old classics and some other monsters that we never knew we needed. Here are some of my favorite monster books.

Horns – By Joe Hill

Devolution – By Max Brooks

The Jersey Devil – By Hunter Shea

The Strain – By Guillermo Del Toro & Chuck Hogan

Wolf Land – By Jonathan Janz

We are a couple of book reviewers

The couples who read together, stay together. That may not be scientifically proven, but it’s worked for us. We have been blogging for over twelve years. While we do enjoy reading together, we rarely read the same novels (although, it does happen occasionally). Sometimes a good book is just too good not to recommend to your spouse/blogging partner. If you’re looking for a book recommendation, you’ve come to the right place. Between the two of us, we cover a wide selection of genres. If you have a recommendation for us, we’d love to hear it! As always, happy reading!
