We offer proofreading and beta reading services. We are both avid readers who have a love of the written word. We realize that sometimes you just need that second set of eyes to look over your work…because we rarely see our own mistakes.
We read a lot of books that are written by indie authors and we want to help you get your books out faster to the many readers who long to read your stories. We are efficient, reliable, and we will work with you and your schedule.

We both have bachelor’s degrees where literature was a strong focus. We are both readers- we know what we like and what works.
How Do We Work?
We prefer to work with a Word document. We find that the “Track Changes” allows us to show you any errors that were made and also add in notes for things that might not have worked or questions that we might have had. With that being said, we are very flexible and can adjust to the way that you want to work.

Proofreading is the final stage in getting your book ready for publication. It is done after the book has been edited and revised.
I have over twelve years of experience in proofreading. I will proofread any genre and document size. I try to go above and beyond for my clients. I don’t simply read your text line by line, I sit down and give it a thorough read-through, going over it with a fine-tooth comb. You want to put out your best work, and I want to help you succeed. Proofreading Checklist
– Spelling errors
– Misused words
– Missing words
– Capitalization
– Homophone confusion (there, they’re, their)
– Misplaced, misused, and missing punctuation

The proofreading is done with a Word document, using the “Track Changes” option.
The turnaround for a proofread is dependent on the word count of the document, however, I am more than willing to work around your schedule.
Pricing
All prices are in U.S. dollars.
– $0.002 per word. For 50,000 words, it would be $100.00.
– Synopsis is a flat rate of $5.00.
